We are never disappointed when we visit this pub. The food is as outstanding as the service. The atmosphere is great, as is the relaxed dog friendly vibe. On our latest visit we had the pleasure of being served by the charismatic Leon, who's excellent customer service with a beaming smile is enough reason to return without all the other great points.
Had such a lovely stay at this hotel. Room was much bigger than expected, very clean and couldn’t hear any noise from the pub or elsewhere. We had dinner and breakfast here also, both were very tasty and staff were friendly. Definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting the area.
Lovely place for a Friday evening relaxation after work. Food is great especially their venison, friendly staff and atmosphere. The only thing I would suggest to do is to change selection of beers on the tap. We will be back soon.
We recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. The bed was excellent, and the bathroom had a good size with everything we needed. Thanks to the double glazing, we couldn’t hear the traffic from the road and enjoyed a peaceful night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The restaurant served decent food at reasonable prices, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing.The only downside was that our room wasn’t cleaned automatically. We later found out we needed to place a sign on the door handle to request housekeeping. We weren’t informed of this policy upon check-in, as we are used to rooms being serviced by default. The staff did apologise for the misunderstanding, which we appreciated. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay with just a small area for improvement in communication.
Very nice food and beer in dog friendly pub. Had Sunday lunch in October. Staff kindly found space for us in dog friendly area. The salmon starter was one of the best starters I've had for months (smoked and mousse). Lovely Nethergate Ale. Recommended.
Fabulous location! Very attentive /quick service. Excellent food not a lot of veggie options but overall really good.Venison sausages were amazing!
Me and three family members had beautiful Sunday lunch, Norfolk turkey, lovely roast potatoes, swede and carrot mash, kale, red cabbage, pork stuffing and large yorkshire with rich gravy. Cheese board for me and coconut rich pudding and apple tart and icecream for others, delicious. High quality food cooked beautifully. Waitress was friendly and welcoming, great decor and ambient lighting. Very impressed.
Amazing place, Great customer service and great Sunday roasts. We will definetly be returning. Also great with Allergies, just a shame they can't make a dairy free Yorkshire. But it won't stop us going back
